Health, Wealth, Truth
CEO: November 2008 to Present
Health, Wealth, Truth is a research, design, and manufacturing firm in fitness equipments, health products, and functional apparel. We source directly from zero-waste, toxic-free, environmental-sustainable suppliers and manufacturers. We have the highest standards for raw material, labor rights, and quality products.
Our competitive advantage is our lean supply chain (manufacturer to consumer, without any wholesale or retail markup), our viral marketing campaigns (technology leverage of free Web 2.0 tools, without any office overheads or operation expenses), and our loyal customers (word-of-mouth referrals, without any large advertisement, administration, or sales team expenses).
Our business models give us a 50%-70 savings in product costs and a 30%-50% savings in labor costs. We pass these savings to our clients, our manufacturing workers, and our environmental initiatives.
Our goal is to utilize private label products and contract manufacturing until we earn the financial, human, and infrastructural capital to own the entire horizontal and vertical supply chains.
We do not want to just set the standard in the industry; we want to be the standard. We do not want to lead these industries; we need to recreate and redefine all industries. We are not just building a brand; we are building a whole new world.

7 Phases in Performance
Researcher, Trainer, and Writer: August 2007 to Present
The 7 Phases in Performance is the research, publication, and certification leader in functional fitness. We leverage right fitness, result focus, and real food to empower a healthy lifestyle. We bring the scientific power of periodization, peak performance psychology, and Taoist practices to the masses.
With these proven principles, you can achieve your dream body with just 3 hours per week. Isn’t it worth 1.8% of your time to be stronger, feel sexier, and live better, forever?
Functional fitness is based on periodization: cycling through progressive phases of diverse training to maximize results. Traditional fitness programs are based on doing the same routine over and over until injury or plateau. Popular books, magazines, and internet articles all fail due to GAS (General Adaptation Syndrome). The body responds to stress through initial shock, recovery (growth), and exhaustion (burn-out). Periodization is the only proven way to keep the body in a constant state of shock and growth, without ever going into exhaustion. The best periodization goes through 7 phases: posture, stamina, stability, strength, speed, power, and performance.
7 Enlightened Entrepreneurs
Philosopher and Entrepreneur: November 1985 to Present
Entrepreneurs take the complete risk and responsibility for their businesses. Entrepreneurs are the disciplined dreamers, spiritual scientists, and warrior poets. Entrepreneurs are problem solvers of the present, innovators of the future, and leaders of the world.
We are all meant to be entrepreneurs who start dreams, not corporate workers who follow orders. Logic may separate man from animals, but creativity is what makes human beings divine.
Yet, creativity without purpose is chaos.
Purpose comes from philosophy. Philosophy is the oldest of all science. It comes from the Greek word philosophía, “love of wisdom.” It is the questioning of human existence, of natural relationships, of universal values.
“Who am I? What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? What should we do? How shall we live? When did we exist? Where are we going? What is right? What is wrong? Is this real? How do I know what is real? Does knowing that even matter? Why? Why Not?”
Philosophy is not about studying what the great ones taught; rather, it is about seeking what they sought. Philosophy is the understanding that all the greatness of Jesus and Buddha is in everyone, just as all the evil of Hitler and Satan is in everyone. Philosophy is not something that is given with money, nor something that is learned in books. It’s something that is earned through experience
Yet, even the greatest insights, experiences, and emotions die with the self. Legacy comes from entrepreneurship, from creating your own world through an automatable, scalable, reliable business. Does this mean you have to wait until you are enlightened before you can start a meaningful business?
No. You become enlightened through the process of serving something greater than yourself. You can only self-actualize through self-transcendence. You must be more than your business for your business to be more than you. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Andrew B Chang Copywriting, Marketing, and Management Consultant
CMO and COO: September 2006 to Present
Content is King. Marketing is Queen. Execution is Everything.
Good writing is telepathy. It’s letting your readers see, hear, and feel what you saw, heard, and felt. Great writing is immortality. It’s knowing your readers will take the insights from your pages and carry it in their hearts, in their actions, and in their innovations.
Marketing is knowing who you are and knowing who your clients are. It’s honestly expressing yourself. Not your psycho-demographics. Not even your philosophy. Your soul. One great marketer who tells the truth—leveraging today’s free technological tools, social networking mediums, and viral distribution platforms—is worth more than one thousand paid advertisements, intrusive salesman, and bureaucratic administrators.
Management is creating an automatable, scalable, reliable system to own, rather than to run. Management is not about getting others to work harder for you. It is about empowering others to work smarter for themselves, for their dreams, for their purpose in this life. Management is about testing effective theories, measuring efficient results, and being productive. Most of all, management is about people.
Andrew B Chang Personal Training
Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach: July 1998 to Present
Health is the foundation for all Wealth.
I was a troubled youth, an overweight kid, and a bulimic teen until I began working out at 12 years old. I knew if I could transform my body through my will, I could change everything in my life.
I had heard about the hidden powers of human beings: a grandmother who lifts a car to save her granddaughter, the children who run through fires to see their loved ones, and the samurai who fights on even after his head is cut off.
I wondered, “What if I could unleash that power that is dormant within me? What if I could harness that strength? What if I could live each day, each moment, with that intensity?” Life would never be the same…
I never believed in myself or trusted myself in the past, but, through surprising myself every moment I trained, I started to see things in me that were never there before. After years of training, giving up, starting over, losing everything, and making something from nothing, I finally felt peace.
I knew, for the first time in my life, I was somebody. I wasn’t just some bum who fought great once in a while. I was a great fighter. Not in the sense that I was any good on a grand scale, but, in the small scheme of my life, the only one that mattered, I was the best I could be. And I know it, every moment I train.
I have done what is supposedly impossible: experimented with over 100 training methods (all experiments were theorized, analyzed, and applied for at least 1 month); read over 1000 books and thousands more research papers, articles, and web forums in the field of human performance; gained over 30 pounds of muscle in 3 months; benched over 450 pounds (from 200 pounds to 450 pounds in 90 days); received national sponsorship and show requests at 18 years old; overcame 2 severe injuries; leveraged Olympic level bio-mechanics, practiced Zen meditation, and integrated Tao energy to heal what doctors said was a 1 in a billion injury at 20 years old.
Andrew B Chang Peak Performance Coaching
Sports and Organizational Psychologist: June 1998 to Present
Know Thyself.
Peak performance psychology is the research, study, and application of success. Peak performers are people who consistently achieve extraordinary results in their fields. Peak performers thrive under extreme challenges and intense circumstances.
Peak performance is about everything that works, be it Zen meditation or hypnotic trance induction, operant conditioning or communication patterns, learning strategies or paradigm shifts, leadership or team work, biological functions or brain structures.
Peak performance psychology is about who we are and what we do, why we act and how we live, where we go and when we succeed. Others may call it self-help or professional development, being in the zone or experiencing the flow, or mental toughness or emotional intelligence.
Most of all, peak performance psychology is a tool to live life, not a subject to study, or a book to read, or a seminar to attend. You apply peak performance psychology to achieve results in other fields, such as sports, business, art, science, technology, school, travel, or anything else. Be your own psychologist, doctor, and trainer. Be responsible for your own success first.
Don’t go to success seminar and decide you want to be a success coach for other people. That is just pathetic, like all the scammers who go to money making seminars and go on to sell money making schemes, even though they never made any real money. That is just as bad as being a MLM loser. It’s fine to make mistakes, as long as you correct them.
And that is what peak performance is really about—taking giant risks, making big mistakes, and learning and growing from them. Experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want. Oysters make pearl from the dirt that seeps into their shells, not from pearl-making seminars with other oysters.
